As a Baltimore City Public School, Windsor Hills implements district provided curriculum.

Reading

For the 2022-2023 school-year we will implement a reading curriculum for all students, K-8, titled Wit & Wisdom. Students in PK-3 will receive daily word-study instruction using a program titled FUNdations

Heggerty is an intervention to assist our PK-2 scholars with word sounds and blending. Just Words is an intervention program to help our 4th-5th graders to improve their spelling and decoding.

Finally all teachers have access to a full suite of intervention materials from Fountas & Pinnell called Leveled Literacy Intervention.

Math

We are in our second year of implementing Eureka Math. Each student has a workbook that stays with them in the classroom for daily use. Teachers will also send home homework tips and tricks to help students with their work. Teachers have access to a math intervention program titled Do the Math.

We will continue to implement a science curriculum co-developed between Baltimore City Public Schools and Johns Hopkins University. This curriculum (STEM Achievement in Baltimore Elementary Schools) or SABES focuses in teaching science content through literacy and math skills. The IQWST program is the science curriculum for our middle school students.

Freckle education

We have invested in order to ensure that every student has access to technology every day. We currently have four laptop carts and a full computer lab that teachers can reserve.

Freckle Education is an online program that provides personalized and customized lessons in literacy and math.

Windsor Hills has been a designated site for gifted and advanced learners for three years. We implement various programs for our gifted learners including: M2 & M3 math, Jacob's Ladder, and Renzulli Learning.
